My first class i had learning 3 chapter . This class was conducted by sir NIK HAZLAN BIN NIK HASHIM at Cendana block (infra science technology block)
When you start entering college , you need to know it is not easy task for you to transform from school to university life. Here u need to find a new friends, explore everything by your own self , adjustment our surrounding life to feel comfortable like home.
You can see the difference between school and college life . In university, class may be 7-18 weeks long at different time and location.Next, the test are given frequently, which is grades may be base on test ,quiz and final exam result .Students also need to practice to manage time carefully . Because, every subjects need to submit the assignment before the deadlines. You also need to manage time to do past year question book to recall back what had you learn in that chapter.
so below here is UiTM schedule for 2019 intake :

as a lesson in first module , i have learn to hardworking eventhough it's quite complicated .second, i want to be responsible person & ready to face a lot of obstacles .
we must always remember we are not in school anymore , our parents not with us so that's why in university we need to be independent in every aspects , always think first before act.
In this chapter, sir NIK HAZLAN asked us to take out 1 pieces of text pad . next , we need to wrote 3 characteristic that related to our self. Then, sir NIK HAZLAN asked us to fold that paper and transform into rocket paper . After done fold , everyone need to stand up and divided into 2 group. My group at left sides while another group in right sides. Then, we need to throw out our rocket to past to other sides . And we need to takes random one rocket paper and read it what their wrote. lastly, we need to call the name of rocket that we takes to take selfie and post it here.
so here i got EZA's rocket . For your information, she came from Sabah. Honestly, i really enjoyed met with her because i liked to learn Sabah accents. Furthermore, she's really friendly and kind .
so here is our moment taking picture together. If you wonder which one is Eza, she is wearing glasses while me wearing black shawl.

➦Auditory: auditory learners best understand new content through listening and speaking in situations such as lectures and group discussion .Aural learners use of mnemonics devices
➦ Kinesthetic: students who are kinesthetic learners best understand information through tactile representation of information. These students are hands-on learners and learn best through figuring things out by hand
MODULE 2
GOAL SETTING & LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
I know everyone have their own goal to success. Goals are very important role for you to achieve what you want for your future . But before you set your goal , you need to know some basic things . One of it , you need to ask yourself is it realistic ? is it can give you benefits or reward after do this ? after you get the answers , you can start to set everything and write on your planner diary . However, you can improve your academics performance in university by learning to set goals that motivate you to do well.
THE CHARACTERISTIC OF GOAL YOU NEED TO HIGHLIGHT
⟶ Should be self -chosen
⟶Should be moderately challenging
⟶Should be realistic
⟶Should be measurable
⟶Should be specific
⟶Should be finite
⟶Should be positive

THESE ARE EXAMPLE OF SETTING SMART GOALS
ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL GOALS
This is very important topic which will possibly lead to an exciting discussion.Students should be made aware of the importance of both and how priorities should be set right from the beginning.
Since this blog spot don't accept pdf file , i decided to take picture of my goal plan on pdf file here you can see my goal setting for my first semester.

MODULE 4
TIME MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
WHAT IS TIME ?
NOUN-time is the indefinite continued progress of existence and in the events in the past, present and future
verb-time is plan , schedule or arrange when something happen or be done

5 STRATEGIES TO DEVELOP A SUCCESSFUL SYSTEM OF STUDY
1.Use weekly schedule
2.use a daily planner
3.use a semester calendar
4.balance academic with social and personal demands
5.avoid procrastination
REDUCING PROCRASTINATION

COMMON REASONS WHY PEOPLE LIKES TO PROCRASTINATE
1.being perfectionist
2.avoiding failure
3.avoiding success
4.being rebellious
5.feeling overwhelmed
6.being lazy
STRATEGIES TO OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION
1.Know what should accomplish
2.determine deadlines
3.use schedule
4.prioritize
5.do the unpleasant task
6.break a task into a series of task
7.have fun with the activity
8.change how you think about task
9.establish rewards as personal incentives for completion
14/8/2019 for this schedule

'
i did my own time table for semester 1:
My to do list
DESIGNATING PRIORITIES
1.Work completed with a minimum amount of effort - routine
2.activities that benefit the company -routine
3.important work -ASAP or rush
4.does not require immediate attention -routine
5.attending meeting -routine
6.workers receive immediate gratification -ASAP or rush
7.developing new product - asap or rush
8.should be done as soon as time permits -ASAP
9.expected customary duties - routine
10.require considerable time to complete -ASAP
so in this topic , i had learnt that we need to change our negative attitude. we need to use time wisely. Time is very important.Once you don't use it, you will regret in your future.
when you use time wisely, your work will finish on time so you have enough time to rest and chill.
Furthermore, your work also automatically become more quality.
RASULLAH already said :

IN ALQURAN ALSO ALREADY PROVED THAT TIMES IS IMPORTANT
MODULE 5
MEMORING ,IMPROVING ,CONCENTRATION AND READING SYSTEM
here sir NIK HAZLAN taught us how to understand the basic processes of memory and also apply the memory skills in our learning
first of all we need to highlight lecturer notes

as human we have our own ability
-intellect
-brain
so what's different between memory vs brain ?
memory- the ability of the individual
brain- organ (computer hardware)

BRAIN ANALYZED
-MRI scanning
-can measure electrical activity
SENSORY MEMORY
-memory related to temporary information storage carried by senses
-temporary
-if pay attention the information will be processed into short term memory
SHORT MEMORY:
-short period will be 30 sec to 24 hours
-information will disappear in short term memory`
-short period will be 30 sec to 24 hours
-information will disappear in short term memory`
LONG TERM MEMORY:
- the memory of something in the past
- stored information is permanent but depend on the ability to recall the information
MEMORY STRATEGIES:
here you will learn memory will help you encoding, storing and retrieving the information (recall )

In class, sir nik hazlan asked us to remember our partner numbers phone for 1 minutes
then we need to asked our friend to check whether wrong or correct or miss one number
Next, sir also asked us to tell rainbow colour follow step by step. we also need to remember all the number at screen in 30 seconds then we need to wrote at paper. Unfortunately I'm just got 12 correct and the rest i failed to catch up.sorry sir hihi
THIS IS EXAMPLE OF ACTIVITY THAT WE DID IN CLASS

There are some cause of poor concentration
1.poor of attention
2.lack of interest
3.lack of motivation
4.distraction from others
5.uncomfortable environment
However you don't need to worry because there are many ways to improve our concentration
1.use motivational strategies
2.create positive learning environment
3.deal with internal distraction
4.use active learning strategies
5.monitor your concentration
6.match your learning style to the task

Do you ever hear SQ3R ?
1.survey - make a survey to get a whole picture about the topic that we will read
2.question-make a question while reading so our mind we looking for answers
3.read-read the sentences to understand the information
4.recite-summarize and rephrase the sentence
5.review-look at the note again to remember the point

MODULE 6
TAKING LECTURER NOTES
Reason why we need to take lecturer notes
1.promoting active listening
2.provides an accurate record of information
3.provides an opportunity to interpret, condense and organize information
4.provides an opportunity for repetition of the materials
HOW TO BECOME ACTIVE LEARNER
1read before lecturer
2.review last set notes
3.sit in the lecturer's vision
4.decide what to listen
5.focus physically and mentally
6.listen with open minded
7.control information
8.listen to main point

EFFECTIVE NOTE TAKING SYSTEM
CORNELL SYSTEM

CUE COLUMN
1.question
2.main point
3.fill after class session
NOTE TAKING AREA
1.oral or written
2.must fill when in class
SUMMARIES
1.conclusion
2.fill after class session

Conclusion for this chapter, now i understand why listening very important to us , even most of us don't take this issue seriously . For me, we need to catch up and write down every thing that our lecturer say , this is because once you not give any attention you will regret and taken aback after didn't get any thing.
MODULE 7
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AND PERFORMANCE
LECTURE NOTES:
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
many students are intentionally guilty of plagiarism when they write reports, assignment and research papers.
PLAGIARISM: an act of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one 's own , as by not crediting the original author
THE FOLLOWING ARE CONSIDERED PLAGIARISM:

NOTE TAKING AREA
1.oral or written
2.must fill when in class
SUMMARIES
1.conclusion
2.fill after class session

In this chapter sir Nik Hazlan opened one video on YouTube . Here we need to took some important point and wrote down . In this lesson , sir taught us to adapt listening in our life because when you start real class in semester 1 , most of lecturer not to repeat what they say so we need to catch up every single words that our lecturer say
APA FORMAT
1,Allows readers to cross-reference your sources easily
2.provides consistent format within a disciplin
3.Gives you credibility as a writer
4.Protects yourself fro plagiarism
MODULE 7

So sir asked us to borrow book from library that related with our courses .Then we need to wrote how to referencing the book (sources)
CALCULATING GRADE POINT AVERAGE
the final examination results and assessment at the end of every semester are assigned a grade point average (GPA) and a cumulative grade point average(CGPA) which represent a student's academic achievement
A GPA refers to calculated average of the letter grades a students earns in each semester following a 0 to 4.00 scale

HOW TO CALCULATE GPA

HOW TO CALCULATE CGPA

To find GPA weighted by credit hours, follow this step
a.multiply each numeric grade value by the number of credits the course was worth
b.add these number together
c.divided by total number of credits you took
4.your GPA=3.53
CGPA refers to overall GPA,which is includes dividing the number of quality points earned in all courses attempted by the total credit hours in all attempted courses
FAILURE AND DISMISSAL

ACTIVITY THAT WE DID :
i had learnt how to calculate my grade for next sem . This is my first time i did it.
CONCLUSION
To sir Nik Hazlan, thank you so much because taught me how to survive in university . For me, interim month really made me change my mindset about UiTM JENGKA . Here, i learnt how to be independence without my family . Thanks to oc too because teached us how to be disciplined for 1 week .
Last but not least, sir NIK HAZLAN see you in semester 2 InsyaAllah
